AmCham China, Northeast China chapter invites you to attend an event on individual taxes for US citizens in China, presented by Chinchie Killfoil, Internal Revenue Service tax attaché at the US Embassy in Beijing. Killfoil will discuss new tax policies, provide instructions and guide you through current tax laws, including recent changes.
•Foreign Earned Income Exclusion – who is eligible and how much can you exclude? •Foreign Tax Credit – can you take this in conjunction with the exclusion? •Who must file tax returns – how about a foreign spouse? •Foreign Bank Account Report (FBAR) – what it it and does it apply to me? •New foreign asset reporting requirement – What is Form 8938 and who must file this?
