This is a very special moment for volunteering in China and the upcoming Volunteering Expo and Volunteering for Harmonious Social Development Forum provides a unique opportunity to celebrate volunteerism and to debate, challenge and inspire even greater contributions to harmonious development through volunteering. The event will be held at Beijing Normal University on Sunday December 4th and 5th 2011.
The Forum is a great opportunity for your Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability program staff to network among peers and to gain a much deeper understanding of the potential that volunteering and cross sector Partnerships for Development will bring to your business. And finally, it’s an opportunity for your employee volunteering leaders to receive training on program development and volunteer management from experts in this field.
The forum was initiated by VSO, the world’s leading independent international development organization working through volunteers to fight poverty in developing countries, and is hosted in partnership with the School of Social Development & Public Policy of Beijing Normal University and Huizeren and with the support and guidance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme and the China International Centre for Economic and Technical Exchange (CICETE), a division of the Ministry of Commerce.
Attached is an electronic copy of the Expo and Forum briefing pack.
