David “Marty” Handley is a restauranteur with 30 years of experience starting from washing dishes. He is currently the VP of Food and Beverage Operations for the Kro's Nest F&B Management Group Ltd, with four stores currently in Beijing and a fifth on the way. As a side project, Marty has started a small café in the Wangjing area, Picture My Cup. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and has worked in all styles of restaurants.
Fang Hao is a serial entrepreneur, currently starting a new business, Evergreen100, which focuses on healthcare devices in China. From 2005-2011, Fang Hao successfully built up Ethos Technologies, which was sold to an industry-leading firm. Ethos was an IT consulting and software outsourcing company, that by 2012, employed over 200 with headquarters in Beijing and branch offices in Norway, Sweden and the UK.
Azzam Jazzairi operates a trading company and chocolate café located in Solana. He was born in Syria, and studied at the Taipei American School. His previous experience includes plastics manufacturing facilities in Syria, computer hardware distribution with Logitech, Edimax and Hwa-Wei, and international trade Import/exporting with branch offices in China, Taiwan and Thailand. He established the café Cocoa ‘n Vanilla in Solana.
AJ Warner is a founder and director of Touchdown!, started in 2005 to provide clients with career coaching and application consulting services. His goal was to assist clients to become the future business leaders of China. Before moving to China, he worked for Deloitte Consulting, helping Fortune 500 companies with strategy and operations. AJ earned his MBA at the University of Texas. Prior experience includes Hitachi’s global trading company and Panasonic. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Political Science and East Asian Studies.
Figo Yu, is the founder and CEO of Dream Castle, and the owner of star cartoon character, “Ali the Fox.” He began his own business in 2010, when the cartoon and animation sector was still immature in China. Ali the Fox found support through a strong internet fandom, which helped propel Dream Castle’s first year and strengthened the company. Figo was previously an experienced venture capitalist with GGC Capital, and an IT engineer before that. He majored in physics in undergraduate and received an MBA from PKU.
