In light of recent developments between the U.S. and China in export controls, the AmCham China Export Compliance Working Group ("ECWG") would like to invite you to attend the ECWG's next monthly meeting, which we be held on June 20th at AmCham China office. In the meeting, the ECWG will be covering the national security related trade issues that are or would impact foreign companies doing business in China. This will include:
The ECWG is a group of companies dedicated to promoting high-tech trade between the US and China. Established in 2006, the goal of the ECWG is to facilitate growth in civilian high-tech trade between the US and China through the improvement of the export control environment between the two countries. That continues to be ECWG's mission in 2018, and it is actively working on fulfilling that mission by continuing to host seminars, engaging with key industry and government officials, and through the provision of reports to the US government on Chinese market conditions. In addition, this year the ECWG has established China Export Control and Cybersecurity subgroups to better track the rapidly changing regulatory developments in these areas that may impact member companies' operations in China. The ECWG also is continuing to provide members with the means to stay informed on the latest developments in export compliance and controls through its contract with Larkin Trade International (LTI), which provides ongoing analyses of Chinese capabilities in high-tech dual-use industries and the latest developments in export control policy between the US and China.
The ECWG cordially invites AmCham China members who are interested in the ECWG to join this meeting. Sign up and join us NOW!
